New Moon 28* 11' Scorpio
19th Shape: MOUSE
21° 25' 43'' Scorpio – 4° 17' 09'' Sagittarius
The prominent feature of October and November is the Grand Trine formation in which multiple planets find their retrograde and direct stations connecting Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer in a harmonized paralleled nature which you may be able to feel through the emotionally dominated layers of your life, between certain affairs which involve a lot of instinct, intuition, empathy, impression, improvisation, care and/or passion. Now that Jupiter has stationed retrograde the opportunities have ceased to roll in with the tide so abundantly, and as Saturn does the opposite and stations direct it’s ironically time to make some serious decisions about how we’re going to ride this moment’s currents, essentially squeezed for the best weather window, we have to make our move regardless of ideal conditions. It’s as if it has become too late for the prevailing winds to take us to our destination, but we have to leave our safe harbor before the dangerous weather arrives and safety is no longer available in our current location. So we are left to assess what we’ve gained for ourselves as useable resource flow since June and make ourselves very well acquainted with how we can maximize it’s potential before the next tide of new facilitation arrives in April.

In the meanwhile, our animal-selves have been setting ourselves up for soul survival in the background or behind the scenes, but before that could all be enthusiastically launched we realized we might be missing adequate fuel or have been robbed of the very thing which would propel such a plan, so we back track to the ‘secret siphon’ mechanism we arranged so we wouldn’t starve in this time where the world at large is lacking in depth, meaning, or passionate impact, and trouble shoot why the transfer to our next 15-20 year life-period-episode has suddenly stalled. As this involves Mercury retrograde conjunct the lunation which this article intends to address, opposing Uranus having returned to late Taurus for one last material re-arrangement and trine Neptune finishing up it’s 14ish year stint in streaming, escapist Pisces, there is certainly a gut churning Frankenstein/hot-rod project that is likely using materials from your personal junkyard of slipped away attachments, dissolved dreams, and nostalgic visions. Once the fuel filling system has been rebuilt in a way that it is capable of alchemizing emotional sewage sludge, psychic excrement and swirls of half composted hopes into more high octane motivation, energy rich enthusiasm, and purified mojo then things can proceed, maybe with a rumbling and burbling start, like when you have to have the choke pulled and really baby the motor for the first start after winter storage but once you get things warmed up (over the next weeks and months) and fresh fuel has been running through then voila, she’s eventually running in a suped-up way that suits the future.

This may be a temporary arrangement, as we’re essentially creating a powerful, pastiche zombie out of our quickly disappearing life shapes that still have some energetic charge left over in them and riding this strange composite-animal into the future where it doesn’t matter if it runs out of steam and comes apart at the seems, because once we’re on the other side into the greater tomorrow there will be fresh narrative energy ambiently available to keep our core batteries charged up. This is why you may find yourself returning to creative pursuits, relationships, associations, employment and so on which horrifically flash you back to defunct timelines, it’s really because we may need to squeeze the last bit of juice out of lingering or gone-dormant forms, fill our current tank with it, and muck-run to the wide open tomorrow where potentiality is blown open. This doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a bit of a haul, but as Saturn stations direct late November we will be able to feel the incremental progress, making way knot by knot as our improv jury rig of old life parts and sails stitched together from cherished memories which now kinda churn our stomach a bit to engage with does the job of bringing us slowly to distant shores. Lands we already spied and scouted out in Spring and Summer 2025, but after coming back for the rest of our kit ended up in a less than ideal set of weather and now its a slog, but as we can see through celestial eyes, we will proceed, in an episode of classic Back To The Future.

Temporal paradoxes are headspinning, and no one wants to feel the fade as our own conceptions get disrupted prior to our births— but, here we are, messing with the fabric of what era’s are made of. Put much more simply, we initiated the future before we closed down the past and now, like it or not, we have to close down the past to fully reside in the future forms. The future is much more exciting than the past, and most of what’s left of the past is problematic, just the messes which need clean up, so we don’t really have the same vim and vigor to deal with the past as we do to deal with the future. The future is inspiration and mental stimulation, the past is largely a soupy glue. Although, we are quite fond of a lot of this old stew, and quite frankly how are we supposed to feel ourselves without any conductive, empathic medium to receive any sensation? Are we supposed to just delete our hard drives and proceed without any care for what we were and that which we once loved? Not exactly. That’s what our Franken-HotRod-LifeZombie vehicle is for. It’s actually a way of honoring and saying goodbye, of concluding everything from the past 3-8-14-20 years and bringing closure. Like the Beatles final rooftop performance, or in imitation of the Beatles, Throbbing Gristle’s final concert in San Francisco with the intention of breaking up after, from which Gen and Sleazy went on to form Psychic TV, an entity which persisted until Genesis’ passing. This ‘one last hurrah’ concept is maybe best displayed in the instance of The Band’s film The Last Waltz in which they arranged a concert to be their final performance with a roster including special guests Ronnie Hawkins, Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, the Staple Singers, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood, and Neil Young all filmed by Martin Scorsese. Can you or must you do it (the thing you did in the previous and concluding era of your life) one last time in an attempt to not only say farewell but also kick up enough mojo, resources and meaning to sustain you for the passage into your future existence?

Right now, simply work on the subtleties, the logistics of the things, perhaps quietly and in stealth, and be invitational to epiphanies which might come zapping down into your mind as Jupiter is involved, imparting coherence of opportunity, Uranus is involved, imparting strokes of genius, Neptune is involved, imparting an ability to imagine what is not in play, it’s a New Moon, so the seeding of a cycle, in this case an alchemical metamorphosis out of fixation, and Mercury is Cazimi, meaning some deeply embedded clues are able to be picked up, cleaned off and incorporated. We’re in the depths of our psyche’s here, really immersed in certain deep end life shapes, and much of this might for the moment be a private affair you work out for yourself with the manifest result not necessarily even much visible later, as later will arrive sometime mid-winter or mid-spring when we’re inventing new things, of which were scouted out last spring and summer.

The lunation and Cazimi itself occurs in the 19th Shape of MOUSE, which likely refers to the god Apollo, and has a multi-faceted expression. Archetypally, this deals with oracularity, the ability to see and effect from afar, as in from a distance or into the future. There is a Remote Viewing like nature to this, but like in Remote Viewing, our impression of the target can become easily corrupted by noise in the signal. We don’t want to “castle-build” or be caught “peacocking” as Lyn Buchanan would say, meaning making up stories on a tangent based of what we’re gathering rather than simply observing the impressions without projection. Apollo in that sense is not only the god of oracular ability and civic organization but also of plague, blight and infestations. We have to be mindful of our protocols and not allow lapses of detail-attention allow for undermining forces to proliferate. This is why certain behaviors in a society are taboo, they can be a pathway to degradation. As we commune with the dead in late Scorpio, and that includes dead layers of our own existence in this temporary zombie resurrection project, we don’t want to get possessed by our former selves’ attachments, and be a puppet of toxic nostalgia, or simply in old ruts again, dragging us down.

The spirit of the Grimoirium Verum tracks with this, as Sircharde can assist us in seeing animals both real and fantastical, teach of said animals, and reveal treasures. He is said to come as a king and require an offering of bread. This Shape spans Scorpio and Sagittarius, and as this lunation occurs in the last degrees of Scorpio, the fiery Sagittarian expression directly follows the Dark Moon punctuation, making this entry particularly apt, especially as what we are digging around in our emotional memory bin for is something which can inspire us and literally fuel us onward, relating back to Jupiter’s current transit in Cancer which is concerned with bringing in more “nutrient rich” resources in general. Sircharde’s character may be one of both the hunting and holiday season, where tracking, predator-prey dynamics transition to feasting and abundance themes. The Apollonian association with oracularity is present, and indeed, multiple temples of Apollo were stationed at natural gas emitting fissures and caves where priests and pilgrims would receive visions via huffing fumes. We now use fossil fuels for different purposes, but the themes of envisioning where we want to send our metaphorical arrow and the fuel to rocket us towards that target remain. In our lifetimes petrol has been the economic backing medium, and as this reveals treasure, and Jupiter is in rulership, and Mercury goes cazimi here, we have reason to believe we may be getting on with some backwards crawl into our own historical caverns to extract things of monetary value aside from simply that which excites us enough to get on with it in general.

We find similar themes in the Chinese material, in which a crow or raven appears as royal advisor, often communicating the voice of the dead and ancestors of note. I think some asking for advice from those dearly departed could be helpful here, and this may include those still remaining on earth who have been part of lineages you spent time in stream of or even veterans from episodes of your life you no longer inhabit. Again, hunting divination is mentioned, which can be a sortilege diagnostic via whatever appears in your net. This is interesting with the Cazimi trine to Jupiter. We may not need consult the Tarot here, what opportunities and boons which come your way at this moment, even when meager, is within itself the reading. This is also where spiritual warriors are trained, adding to the preparatory nature of the moment, like our Zombie-Vehicle-HotRod-Project, but it also warns of how breaking taboos is inauspicious, so go easy and don’t muck it up.

The Rigveda evokes Nirrti, goddess of dissolution and destruction, a sort of pure yin-ness, a vacuum of primordial darkness and disorder. Manually conjuring civility is often required to move within this force, as things separate and come apart. Her offerings would sometimes be made by giving black rice to infertile women, something belonging seasonally to this moment in the Northern Hemisphere when trees are bare of leaves and snows begin to fly and nights lengthen. Similarly the Picatrix speaks of “hastening women’s menses” and envisions a woman holding her hands before her face. Jupiter has turned retrograde in Cancer, metaphorically we are pausing generative processes and feeding resources to what we have birthed between June to now so we understand the resource flow protocol for best results of abundance. We want our nursery to proliferate and not starve things which have been just recently started. In the conclusion of a long lived era, where we will now see things die back and dissolve so we can go forward in the new fire sparking off towards spring we must participate in the sweeping up and setting things right to continue anew. Possibly one last go at the old trusty broom. If any of the things we had feeling for from the bygone days is slinky enough, or crucial enough to sneak into the next couple decades of our life later, that will reveal itself on its own. We can be here stealthy, civil, visionary, resourceful, alchemical and carrying out our one last hurrah which hopefully stirs up the literal, metaphorical or energetic funds to bankroll our future.
