There has already been one eclipse on the Pisces end of the Pisces-Virgo axis back on September 17th of 2024, but this coming Friday March 14th 2025’s eclipse is the first on the Virgo end, revealing more of the dynamics that will be in transfer between the pair of signs and the pair of houses as corresponds to life layers in your personal story. The Pisces eclipse occurred in KEY, and may have corresponded to the unlocking and revealing of divine influences which have begun to sacralize your life henceforth, as well as protean influences which have hopelessly fused the real world and the imaginal or spirit-world on both small and large scales. There has also been the hint of renewal and rebirth afoot, the slipping together of the loop and winding into the next cycle weft and warp. That was a North Node eclipse of increase, fast forward, turbulent amounts of manifestation, perhaps more upwelling of new life currents than you are ready to process. This upcoming eclipse is one of purgation, release, reducing and refining. With South node eclipses there can be a puking everything ready to be shed violently down reality’s drain whether we feel ready to release these components or not. In Pisces it meant more immersion, more holism, more high saturation of the field. In Virgo that means less specific, less technical, less logistical, less procedural. In general this means less sorted and more blended.
On this Virgo South Node end of the spectrum the Shape in question is HEGOAT. Like the namesake, HEAGOAT is full of throbbing lust, high sexual tension, inevitable penetration, forceful productivity, over abundant energy from procreative urges, all of which leading to the potential of invasion but can if focused be channeled into the pursuit of craft. This series of eclipses though looks like we are trending to less detailed dynamics and more general movements. This jives with the abundance of upcoming Aries energy, which is impulsive, direct and action oriented and doesn’t stop to ask anyone if its ok to just go ahead and get started. We will likely see that there will be no time to fuss around with many complicated gizmos and slender subtleties as the iron seems hot for striking, so if our HEGOAT energetics are looking for projects we need to make sure we keep them simple enough to not get caught up in the barnyard fencing and miss our chance to sire. This may require a corporeal purge, cleanse of manifest things, a getting stuff out of the way, streamlining, clearing your desk, stripping things back, going for deadly quick and uncomplicated. The third decan of Virgo has much to do with finishing things up tied with a neat bow. For this round we might forego the bow, just finish and get on with it. This is metaphorically ‘finishing’ in the pornographic sense: just fast forward to the money shot.
Mercury will still be direct in Aries at the moment shadow reddens the Moon, turning retrograde around twenty four hours after, at which point the Moon will be in Libra nearing close to opposing both retrograde Venus and Mercury in Aries. That we’re feeling sensitive to inter-relations and the equalization of things social and cultural at the very moment Mercury’s bold, independent thinking starts to backtrack and reconsider everything is interesting. What components of the life mechanisms, what specific procedures are we deleting from the operation which might lead to this effect? Across the way from Virgo, over in Pisces swim Saturn just renewed by the Sun and still very invisible, a factor which could lead to things we previously thought were obligational and necessary simply now getting pulled from the plan altogether. Life has spilled over its limits, ends of spectrums have been flooded and washed out, the critical point has already been filled beyond, some scenes might need to be departed from as they’re uninhabitable, and since the answer in some cases has been a hard no, but the no has somehow inexplicably dissolved, areas that were once off limits begin to fill up with story, story saturated enough to dramatize. Indeed, the greek word in the Papyri which gets translated to HEGOAT is ‘Trágos’, from which we also derive ‘tragedy’, so have theatre masks at ready.
The last times the nodes were in this pair of signs, but reversed, was March 2016—September 2017. You can think about then, when elements of your life were flowing between the houses you have Virgo and Pisces in but now in the opposite order. Were we nine years ago asked to maybe get all our ducks in a row rather than just in the general vicinity and are now being ordered ‘at ease’? What went from loose and sloppy to technical and critical during that time? Or, what got converted from a romantic, impressionistic and imaginative swirl to a real, tangible operation? The goal now might not be to “get sloppy” but to loosen up, smooth, lubricate, and relax rather than fuss over fine tuning in obscure corners of libraries and in hyper engineered masturbatory efficiency tweaking. Where have we become too dry and uptight, too caught up in details, and where do we need to just flow freely and even copiously without anything holding it back? How can we harness our real imaginations rather than run on the way we’ve been programmed to or programmed ourselves to over the past nine-ish years?
I first got a smart phone in 2016. Before hand, my life was a complete explosion of artistic hedonism and profound mystical debauchery and afterwards it has been a lot of amateur academic pursuits, rigorous magical practices and hustling my astrology business. I’m not saying I’m returning to my previous mode, but its a time when the tightening up is readying to unwind. If your pre-algorithm led existence felt more creatively immersive than you might be contemplating similar shifts. For the current macro there is indeed a trend of people being less online but there is also obviously the emergence of more hypnotic technologies which would have us be even more wet brained than we are now in another nine years when the nodes make it back to this axis once more for a redistribution of brail here and sea foam there. I think this is the end of making money online by playing the algorithm and as people in their 30s—40s return more (in a dazed state) to applying themselves in real life immersion those that are very young and quite old will get fully absorbed in AI media they can’t tell is AI media, as signaled by Saturn conjunct Neptune in Aries, where young and old sometimes swap roles.
There is already see a trend of tyrannical children using contemporary conventions to control their parents contorted in the polarized post cancel-culture climate. It’s common for parents and their children to clash generationally by having natal Plutos that square, where as grandchildren and grandparents sometimes jive more from natal Plutos that trine. We may be seeing this before our eyes as mid range aged people organically resist current technocracy (simply by being repulsed) where the ends of the age spectrum passively receive it in an internet that is becoming more like 90s daytime television: infomercials, QVC, commercials, cartoons, gameshows, reruns and soap operas (television for those too young to go to school and those who have retired from the workforce). Economic shifts and workforce redundancy trims may finally combine to widen the gap between what is real and what is pretend as it becomes too difficult to remain niche or funky and status quo takes on a different directive. Watch for people becoming un-hip suddenly over night, and being alternative becoming disdainful again. But also watch for the exact reverse, something we will likely be subject to from now on, everything including its reflection in the societal bizarro mirror. All the more visible when less baroque, the technological and societal vines here are trimmed, and the fruit things bear are more readily grasped.

The all-wound-up-and-ready-to-copulate nature of HEAGOAT and the nodal suggestion of “hey man, fucking rrreelllaaxxx” makes sense for a Mansion the Picatrix calls “The Unarmed”. Here they see a ‘dog holding its tail in its mouth’. Indeed, like biting the brim of your own hat this is a pretty literal gesture of pent up frustration. There is talk in elections and in the talisman of either bringing men and women together or separating them, as if in practicing animal husbandry and arranging the situation for selective breeding. As mentioned, this eclipse might be more inclined to general breeding rather than so selective, or in a more nuanced way, just not having so many animals around so you don’t have to have so much barnyard infrastructure to begin with, or, if you spay and neuter your pets you can let them run loose and not have surprise litters around the homestead. Indeed, there’s a kind of vasectomy like nature to this eclipse which simplifies matters in an obvious way. For the talisman you make a red wax dog and burn both dog and cat hair incense, a mixture of two creatures who, at least in cartoons, are mortal enemies, but are often used as signifiers of male and female gender. The Grimorium Verum spirit is Frimost, also associated with matters of love, lust, sex, human passions, as well as miscarriage and you are told to treat him respectfully as well as to give him the first stone you find. Spirit’s with notes for specific or additional offerings tend to be complicated to work with and keeping goetic protocol tight is often best when getting to know them, all of which likely reflects that this is the range of tropical Virgo. Frimost’s Quimbanda syncretized Exu is Quebra-Galho, or ‘branch-breaker’, who also has a reputation for assisting in love affairs but carries a more general reputation of resolving tough issues, as in getting people out of a bind, which is appropriate for a moment when we are decomplexifying what we’re working with.
The Rigvedic deity from the Indian Nakshatra tradition is Vishwakarma, the All-Worker, a divine craftsmen of great skill who created the god’s weapons and implements such as Indra’s bolt, and was considered a universal father and ancestor of humans, reflecting HEGOAT’s progenitive modality, profoundly good for productivity and prolificness in making things and impregnating the world— but keep in mind it’s exactly this dynamic which is getting stripped down and refined. I don’t know if “work smarter not harder” or “keep it simple, stupid” are exactly appropriate here, but they aren’t entirely off either. We may be removing redundancy, thereby allowing these creative and procreative urges to flow forth and avoid quagmires that cock-block. With both Mercury and Venus retrograde we’re reassessing and re-evaluating both quality and quantity. Calculating what is the appropriate amount and what features make things even satisfactory to begin with. In Aries this reflection and correction is aligned with how effective things are and how much direct agency they award us, whereas when they in a few weeks make it back to Pisces to sidle up to Neptune, the North Node and Saturn there is immersion into nostalgia, history, imagination, and empathic compulsions to sense the state of the whole world. This has backslide-wormhole written all over it, so the call to streamline things and strip them down before this dramatic deep dive should be heeded. Don’t rush off into the swirling malestrom of parameter widening confusion with a million new pet projects seeded which you are tethered to and taking in tow. We’ll be back to Aries before Summer Solstice in a big way, so remember how much you’re fired up to be an independent contender so not to get mired down by overwhelming amounts of sentimental hallucination incoming. We’re re-establishing very, very big imaginations, and ones we want to keep hold of, like passing down a spiritual tradition, just don’t get blinded by the light and washed off course in mystical tides in the process. Too many devices could get you lost, but a few traditional wayfinding tricks up your sleeve can see that you return in tact from the most heroic of doses. We’re sticking with what always works, like remembering that moss grows on the north side of the tree. You won’t even see that if you’re glued to the GPS screen.
Vishwakarma trimmed the sun’s rays to lessen the blinding brightness at the request of his wife, and with the trimmings he made the god’s tools and weapons, a good metaphor for the final degrees of Virgo zodiacally approaching Autumnal Equinox. We are now approaching Spring Equinox, but with all the retrogrades over the Vernal degree, this is sound advice in a transposed and extrapolated context. The Chinese Xiu talks about the old warrior religion and its wisdom to discern the fine line between righteous war and brutal invasion. This adds nuance to HEGOAT’s lusty prowess and preference as a top. The one who yangs in the erotic dance often incites by coming on strong or being forceful but the one who yields and yins doesn’t always want simply to be used and abused. The fangshi is seen as an exorcist holding a sword, which describes both the potency of the blade but the ability to expel the demonic and dispel possession. Are you controlling your projects or are they controlling you? Both wealth and literature are mentioned here, as well as building and remodeling, suggesting there is potential for the support of soundness and sagacity, whether that’s in project management or family planning. Agile modalities come to mind, especially as the Picatrix says this is a good place for medicinal activity as well as setting sail, but once more, the heart of this moment is measured reduction and the removal of unnecessary, toxic, outdated or extraneous elements from the concoction. Like in Remote Viewing, you begin a session with setting assumptions aside so you are able to even grasp the subtle impression of the target as it arises at all, rather than go about building mental constructs that have no relation to the program out of sheer creative tendencies, which are natural, but may not serve this particular operation. Paradoxically, you may instead, depending on your own momentary circumstances, need more to sac the controlled procedure altogether and let your imagination loose from the reigns. It’s up for you to assess and decide, but there is no rush. Look at the retrogrades; this all needed to happen literally yesterday, but yet, the personal planets won’t unanimously be in direct motion until April 12th and not out of shadow until mid-May, so hold that train of thought. The simpler the formula the easier it will be to commit to memory. It’ll be more tangible if its hooked into the real and more retrievable if its laced in spiritual meaning.
